Fernando Viguri Rojo. He earned his Ph.D. at University of Zaragoza (1986), under the direction of Profs. M.A. Ciriano and L.A. Oro. He was appointed Associate Professor (1986) and Lecturer (1989) of Inorganic Chemistry, at the University of Zaragoza. He spent a year (1991-1992) with a grant for training and staff research mobility in the group of Prof. N. Connelly, School of Chemistry, Bristol University. His current research interest is focused on the development of chiral transition metal catalysts, synthesis, and characterization as well as in their application to asymmetric catalysis (Hydrogen transfer, Cycloaddition and Friedel-Crafts reactions).
